The argument that astrology cannot be science was never settled on the merits.

For four centuries astrologers have practiced under a verdict the dominant culture treats as self-evident. The split between astronomy and astrology was not an accident of history. It was an institutional decision, enforced by institutional closure, sustained by methodological mismatch, and protected by the dismissal of inconvenient evidence. Evidence Ecology: Science and Astrology answers it, written from inside the tradition by a practitioner of forty-five years.

The history is not what we were told

Kepler reformed astrology instead of rejecting it. Brahe practiced it. Galileo cast charts. The integrated inquiry these figures practiced was severed by an institutional act of the seventeenth century, not by a verdict of evidence.

The empirical record confirms what the tradition has held

  • Vernon Clark's blind chart-matching at five-in-ten-trillion odds against chance.
  • Gauquelin's planet–profession correlations replicated across five countries.
  • Stoupel's forty-five-year clinical cosmobiology corpus.
  • Wehr's lunar entrainment of bipolar mood at the National Institute of Mental Health.
  • Mayo Clinic's solar-cycle work on giant cell arteritis.
  • The Journal of Finance lunar study across forty-eight stock markets.
  • The eighteen-point-six-year nodal cycle in surgical mortality.

Real, replicated, and peer-reviewed, yet refused engagement by institutional science rather than addressed.

The methodology has been wrong, not the subject

Evidence Ecology is a whole-systems framework for examining the conditions under which knowledge is produced, suppressed, and regenerated. It draws on four lineages:

  • Critical theory.
  • Feminist standpoint theory.
  • The decolonizing tradition.
  • Philosophy of science.

The chart deploys configurational logic across three registers (individual, mundane, and electional) that no single-variable research design can reach. Methodology mismatch is not negative evidence.

The Sovereign Knowledge Project

Every vitalist tradition (botanical medicine, acupuncture, Āyurveda, Unani, homeopathy) faces the same institutional dynamic. Evidence Ecology is a shared framework, not a defense of astrology alone.

This book is for

  • Astrologers and students of the tradition ready to engage the science on its own ground.
  • Clinicians in any integrative or vitalist practice working in contested evidential territory.
  • Researchers in any tradition that Western evidence hierarchies have classified as deficient before testing.
For astrologers, students of the tradition, and practitioners of every vitalist medicine who have grown tired of asking permission to do work the evidence already supports.
